Connecticut DCF Seeks ‘Community Support for Families’ Request for Proposal
September 16, 2011 The Connecticut Department of Children and Families (DCF) released the request for proposals (RFP) on September 16, 2011, seeking six regional lead agencies to coordinate “Community Support for Families” referred by DCF through its new differential response child welfare system. The new system enables DCF child abuse hotline workers and child protective investigators to use a child safety risk-assessment for families reported for potential child abuse or neglect and then refer families at low-risk of child harm to ongoing services and case management provided by the lead agencies.
