School-Based Telehealth: An Innovative Approach to Meet the Health Care Needs of California’s Children
September 21, 2009 With the continuous development of technology within health care and schools, health care providers have been trying to utilize children's technology skills to improve their health. Health care providers and California schools have created a program to help underprivileged and uninsured children track their health through school-based telehealth. The basis of this brief, written by Wendy Lazarus and Laurie Lipper, co-founders of The Children's Partnership, is to analyze the ways to keep children healthy to do well and achieve high goals in school partially by continually developing technology skills.
