The researchers reviewed available data from 64 randomized controlled trials addressing the comparative effectiveness of four non-pharmacological treatments—electroconvulsive therapy , repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation, vagus nerve stimulation, and cognitive behavioral therapy or interpersonal psychotherapy.
