October 1, 2009 The North Carolina Division of Medical Assistance which oversees Medicaid services implemented cuts to Medicaid reimbursement rates for 20 services and goods. The rate reduction was part of a budget cut enacted by the North Carolina General Assembly. The state has nearly two million people enrolled in Medicaid.
