October 1, 2011 Beginning October 1, 2011, new and renewed commercial health plans in Arkansas were required to include coverage for autism therapies, including applied behavioral analysis (ABA). Coverage of evidence-based autism therapies was extended to any individual plan member with autism spectrum disorder; the coverage includes pharmacy, psychiatric, psychological, therapeutic care.
