Arkansas House Bill 1315 of 2011, An Act to Provide Health Insurance Coverage for Autism Spectrum Disorders
October 1, 2011 Beginning October 1, 2011, new and renewed commercial health plans in Arkansas were required to include coverage for autism therapies, including applied behavioral analysis (ABA). Coverage of evidence-based autism therapies was extended to any individual plan member with autism spectrum disorder; the coverage includes pharmacy, psychiatric, psychological, therapeutic care. However coverage for ABA was limited to children under 18 years old, and annual costs for ABA were capped at $50,000. Download the Report . . .
