In October 2011, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Integrated Care Resource Center released a technical assistance brief on existing and emerging options that are being used or considered by states for integrating the management and financing of physical and behavioral health services, with a focus on individuals with serious behavioral health needs.
