October 4, 2010 In 2010, Merritt Hawkins researchers found that psychiatrists affiliated with general acute care hospitals generated average net revenue of $1.3 million each, 45% higher than the per psychiatrist 2007 average net revenue figure of $888,911. For 2010, physicians affiliated with general acute care hospitals generated average net revenue of $1.5 million, which was slightly higher than the $1.4 million average net revenue generated by physicians in 2007.
