October 5, 2010 Federal Transition Programs for Students with Intellectual Disabilities (TPSID) grants by the U.S. Department of Education were given to 27 programs for students with intellectual disabilities. These programs were proposed by two-and four-year secondary institutions of higher learning. The selected programs can use the funding to support post-secondary programs for students with intellectual disabilities by funding supports needed to attend, complete, and succeed in higher education.
