California Senate Bill 312 Of 2017: Sealing Of Offenses Reduced To Misdemeanor

On October 11, 2017, the governor of California approved this bill. The legislation authorizes courts to seal juvenile records for certain offenses. Those juveniles under age 18 whose serious or violent offense was reduced to a misdemeanor will now have their record sealed under the order of a court. Criminal records may be accessed by probation if the offender subsequently commits a felony offense . . .
