Global Payments to Improve Quality & Efficiency in Medicaid: Concepts & Considerations

November 1, 2009 This report, by the non-profit Massachusetts Medicaid Policy Institute, recommended that global payments could be a key to aligning MassHealth provider payments to encourage delivery of effective, efficient, and high quality care. MassHealth is the Massachusetts Medicaid program; it provides insurance coverage to roughly 1.2 million people in the state.
