November 9, 2010 A review report of the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) was released by the Los Angeles County Chief Executive. The report cited numerous problems at DCFS, including high stress levels, high employee turnover, and inexperienced caseworkers. The review team assessed DCFS operations and made recommendations. DCFS will implement changes to improve caseworker retention rates and improve the quality of case work services.
