Allegheny County Council 2011 Budget Hearing
November 17, 2010 Officials in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania may start using electronic GPS monitoring anklets to monitor the whereabouts of sex offenders in the greater Pittsburgh area. The county recently concluded a six-month pilot program that monitored 45 registered sex offenders with GPS-enabled anklets.
