Behavioral Health Mobile Support Team
December 7, 2010 A feasibility study found that the Sonoma County SherriffÂ’s Department and the Santa Rosa Police Department experience confrontations with people experiencing mental health or substance abusecrises up to 15 times per day. The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors approved funding of $160,000 at its December 2010 meeting to create a Behavioral Health Mobile Support Team that will assist law enforcement in dealing with people experiencing mental health and substance abuse crises.
