December 20, 2010 On December 20, 2010, a class action lawsuit representing 4,500 adults between the ages of 26 and 46 with disabilities was filed against the state of Texas. The plaintiffs allege that the state has housed them in nursing homes, rather than providing appropriate treatment or rehabilitation, thus violating the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA).
