Mayor of Boston’s PILOT Task Force Final Report & Recommendations
December 30, 2010 The City of Boston, Massachusetts has decided to standardize its voluntary "payment in lieu of taxes" (PILOT) program to allow non-profit organizations to receive a discount based on the community benefit that they provide to the city. The PILOT program is a quasi property tax paid by large non-profit organizations to account for their use of the cityÂ’s public services.
