Report of the Iowa DHS Remedial Services Transition Committee to the General Assembly
December 30, 2010 In 2010, the Iowa legislature asked the Department of Human Services (DHS) to form a Remedial Services Transition Committee to review the feasibility and potential benefits of moving the DHS Remedial Services program from the fee-for-service reimbursement structure to administration by the Iowa Plan for Behavioral Health. The Remedial Services program provided community-based behavior management services for children with serious emotional disturbance (SED) and their families requiring behavioral health support.
