On June 30, 2017, the United States Department of Labor (DOL) filed this appeal of a district court ruling in favor of the plaintiffs in the case of State of Nevada, et al., vs. Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division. The lawsuit was filed by 21 states to challenge the new DOL overtime rules.
