On July 19, 2022, the federal Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), through the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), awarded $49 million in grants to fund outreach to help families enroll eligible uninsured children in Medicaid or the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP).
