North Carolina School Behavioral Health Action Plan Aims To Address Youth Mental Health Crisis
North Carolina plans to invest in a suite of school- and community-based services to support youth mental health. The North Carolina School Behavioral Health Action Plan calls for the state to provide funding for schools to hire more school nurses and social workers, and funding to invest in evidenced-based strategies and pilot programs to support student behavioral health. It was released by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NC DHHS) in partnership with the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction.
