HRSA Investing $240 Million For Integrated Behavioral Health In Community Health Centers
The federal Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) has awarded $240 million in two-year funding to 400 community health centers to help the centers launch and expand integrated behavioral health and primary care services. The funding was announced on September 19, 2024.
The community health center awardees can use the funding to start or expand mental health and addiction treatment services. The expansion will be measured as an increase in the number of consumers receiving mental health services, and an increase in the number of consumers receiving addiction treatment services, including treatment with medications for opioid use disorder.
