Mobile Medical Units For Homeless Veterans Increase Primary Care, Case Management Use
Veterans experiencing homelessness who were served by the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) program had higher utilization of primary care and mental health services than those receiving usual care. Each fiscal quarter, veterans served by an MMU made an average of 0.43 more primary care visits per person and 0.03 more mental health intensive case management visits per person than those who received usual care.
