Cue Receives Funding For Smartphone-Based Device For Home Flu Diagnosis
On November 18, 2014, Cue, Inc. received $7.5 million in funding for a smartphone-based diagnostic device for consumer home tests for influenza, testosterone levels, fertility, inflammation levels, and Vitamin D levels. Following final approval by the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA), a starter package that includes the device, a charger, and a set of single-use test cartridges will retail for about $300. Replacement cartridges will be available. Cue anticipates launching sales by the spring of 2015, in the United States and worldwide.
Cue launched on May 13, 2014 and began accepting pre-orders under the FDA . . .
