The Abbey Center Residential Substance Abuse Treatment Program to Open in Former Iowa Monastery

OPEN MINDS On-Line News Mental Health & Chemical Dependency Services On October 1, 2008, The Abbey Center will open as a 24-bed residential substance abuse treatment facility in Bettendorf, Iowa. The facility is located at the site of the Abbey Hotel, a former Carmelite monastery that had been transformed into a luxury hotel. Services will be targeted toward the needs of career professionals. The program offers medium- and high-intensity residential treatment in 30, 60, or 90-day programs. The average monthly cost of treatment will be about $20,000.
