More Than 30% Of Medicare Quality Measures Include Individuals Covered By Medicaid & Other Payers
Over 30% of health care quality measures implemented by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) require provider organizations serving Medicare beneficiaries to include data for people whose health care is covered by other payers. Over 40% of the Medicare quality measures include data for Medicaid beneficiaries.
These findings were reported in the 2015 “National Impact Assessment of Quality Measures Report” released by CMS on March 2, 2015. The report is a comprehensive assessment of quality measures used by CMS from 2006 through 2012.
