AHMC Healthcare Buys Two California Hospitals From Verity Health For $40 Million

In mid-August 2020, AHMC Healthcare finalized its $40 million purchase of Seton Medical Center in Daly City, and Seton Coastside in Moss Beach from bankrupt Verity Health System. The deal was conditionally approved by the California Attorney General on July 27, 2020. Seton Medical Center is a 357-bed hospital. Seton Coastside is a 116-bed hospital.

The conditional approval requires AHMC Healthcare to keep the two hospitals open for at least five and a half years. It also requires AHMC Healthcare to offer more than $1 million in charity care for the surrounding community in the next six . . .
