Babylon acquired California-based Meritage Medical Network in April 2021. The network has 700 physicians. Financial terms were not disclosed. The Meritage partnership builds on Babylon’s recent investment in Fresno-based FirstChoice Medical Group.

The company provides digital-first, value-based care for nearly 100,000 Americans, and nearly 120,000 people globally. In May 2021, Babylon announced new U.S. offices in Palo Alto, California, to support its expansion in the United States. The company launched operations in the United States in 2020, and has established a 50-state clinical network.
