Cerner Launching EHR-Integrated Opioid Toolkit For Safe Prescribing

Cerner recently announced it is launching a new suite of electronic health record (EHR)-integrated IT tools to improve the safety of prescribing practices by clinical professionals. The new tools were introduced at the 2018 Cerner Health Conference (CHC), where the organization’s CEO announced the officially named Cerner’s Opioid Toolkit. Implementation of the toolkit is expected to result in safer prescribing practices of opioids for consumers, which in turn should help lower addiction disorder in relation to opioid usage.
