Hamilton Health Care System Closed Its Behavioral Health Practice In June 2021

Hamilton Health Care System in Dalton, Georgia, closed its Behavioral Health practice at the end of June 2021. The practice served an average of 300 consumers weekly. The practice had provided counseling, therapy, psychiatric medication management, cognitive testing and other behavioral health services.

Hamilton Health Care worked with other local behavioral health provider organizations to serve as an alternative source of care for the former Behavioral Health practice consumers. Hamilton Health Care was also exploring other behavioral health options, including telehealth.
