Health Info Organization BioTelemetry Acquires Remote Monitoring Startup Geneva Healthcare
Remote and wireless health information organization BioTelemetry recently acquired remote monitoring startup Geneva Healthcare. (Geneva). The transaction sees BioTelemetry paying $45 million in upfront cash for the purchase, with no less than $20 million in addiction performance-based earn-out considerations in the future.
With the acquisition, the two organizations are merging under the BioTelemetry name, with BioTelemetry gaining access to Geneva’s cloud-based platform, which aggregates data from device manufacturer systems. This data empowers clinical professionals to remotely track health care consumers’ cardiac devices, and also provides them with the results of consumers’ routine checks and monitoring.
