LifePoint Health To Acquire Kindred Healthcare

LifePoint Health and Kindred Healthcare announced they entered into a definitive agreement for LifePoint to acquire Kindred Healthcare. Financial terms were not disclosed. The acquisition is expected to close during the fourth quarter of 2021. The transaction brings together LifePoint’s national network of community-based hospitals, professionals, and access points with Kindred’s expertise in delivering long-term acute care, rehabilitation services and behavioral health services. Beyond the contemplated transaction, LifePoint intends invest $1.5 billion over the next three years to continue advancing health care delivery in the communities it serves.
