North Texas Autism Community Seeks Its First Trainees
29 Acres Transition Academy (29 Acres)—a $12 million project for adults with autism—will be opening later this month. The facility will help individuals with autism who are 18 and older to locate career and housing opportunities if they have completed high school.
The program, which spans two years in length, will teach skills that allow its young adults to live more independently, as well as receive job training and assistance with searching for employment.
