On August 5, 2020, the Petaluma Health Care District board approved a letter of intent to sell the 80-bed Petaluma Valley Hospital for $52.6 million to NorCal HealthConnect, LLC, an affiliate of Providence St. Joseph Health. Petaluma Valley Hospital is an acute care facility with an emergency department and labor and delivery services. It serves Santa Rosa and Petaluma, California.

The sale must be approved by Petaluma voters; the measure will be on the November 3, 2020 ballot. If approved, the sale would close by December 31, 2020. Under the arrangement, NorCal HealthConnect would continue operating the hospital . . .
