Rhode Island Governor & Department Of Housing Award $5.9 Million In Housing, Community Development Grants 

Rhode Island Gov. Dan McKee and the state Department of Housing awarded $5.9 million across 31 grants in 14 Rhode Island cities and towns. The grants went to a variety of projects, including for seniors and adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD). 

Middletown was granted $682,917 over two years for the West House II senior affordable housing complex.;Separately, Portsmouth was awarded $750,000 over two years in support of the Ade Bethune House towards the first phase of a planned affordable 54-unit senior housing building project.;;
