‘Time To Screen’ Partnership Connects People To Cancer Screening Resources
The Community Oncology Alliance (COA) and CancerCare launched the “Time to Screen” partnership and public awareness campaign. The goal is to encourage Americans to obtain cancer screenings. Recently published studies indicate that after the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) public health emergency started in March 2020, average screening rates among older adults for the top four cancer types dropped by 25% across the United States. Breast cancer screenings dropped by 85%, and colon cancer screening dropped by 75%.
