Two Kansas City Agencies Supporting The Developmentally Disabled Merge
Two Kansas City, Missouri-based non-profit organizations that provide services to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD) recently merged. The involved parties include Life Unlimited Inc. (Life) and Open Options.
According to Life Unlimited’s vice president, Mark Bertrand, the move will help expand and bolster services to consumers and their families in the region. Effected services will include community therapeutic recreation, emergency medical assistance, employment services, day programs, residential housing, and other services for individuals with I/DD.
