ZenCharts, an organization that creates software that simplifies operations in addiction disorder treatment facilities, recently responded to legal allegations from competitor Kipu Systems (Kipu).

Earlier this year, Kipu filed a $30 million lawsuit against ZenCharts, alleging that the company plagiarized Kipu’s cloud-based medical records system. Specifically, Kipu Systems accused the owner of a Florida-based drug treatment center—Solutions Recovery—and his son of gaining access to Kipu’s medical record system for the intention to copy it.
