Texas-Based Ascend Health Acquires Schick Shadel Hospital in Seattle

On August 17, 2011, Texas-based Ascend Health acquired Schick Shadel Hospital, an addiction treatment facility in Seattle, Washington. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Ascend plans to add Schick Shadel programs at several of its facilities; the first is slated to open by the end of 2011 at its Mayhill Hospital in Denton, Texas.
