21 Medicare Advantage Plans Warned To Fix Provider Directory Errors
On January 13, 2017, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) told 21 Medicare Advantage plans to fix errors in their provider network directories by February 6, 2017. If the plans fail to correct the errors, CMS can impose fines or force the plans to stop enrollments. CMS cited plans operated by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Highmark of Pennsylvania, and SCAN Health Plan of California, as well as some regional plans owned by national carriers such as UnitedHealthcare and Humana.
