New York Medicaid Changes Reimbursements To Patient-Centered Medical Homes

The New York Department of Health has announced changes to its patient-centered medical home (PCMH) incentive program for Medicaid provider organizations. The changes affect incentive payments made in all delivery systems, including managed care, fee-for-service, professional and institutional. The changes reduce payments to provider organizations certified as PCMHs under the 2011 National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) standards; and increase payments for provider organizations certified as PCMHs under the 2014 NCQA standards. The revised payment structure goes into effect January 1, 2016.
