CMS Approves Arkansas Amendment To ARHOME Waiver To Expand Community-Based Care & Health-Related Social Needs For High-Risk Populations
On November 1, 2022, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) approved the Arkansas Life360 HOME initiative, an amendment to the state’s Arkansas Health & Opportunity For Me, 1115 Medicaid waiver (ARHOME) that continued the state’s Medicaid expansion program. Through the Life360 HOME initiative, Arkansas will use its Medicaid demonstration to test health-related social needs interventions as key components of overall health for certain groups of Medicaid beneficiaries.
The state will work with local hospitals and community partners to develop the Life360 HOME initiative. It has three programs that target the following populations:
