Arkansas BCBS, New Directions Behavioral Health & Washington Regional Primary Care Clinic Launch Integrated Care Clinic

On January 26, 2016, New Directions Behavioral Health (New Directions), announced that it has been partnering with Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield (BCBS), and Washington Regional’s Advantage Primary Care on single-payer integrated care clinic for Arkansas BCBS commercial health plan members. The clinic, located in Lowell, Arkansas is participating in a 24-month pilot program that started in the spring of 2015. New Directions and Arkansas BCBS are having ongoing discussions on how to successfully implement and sustain this integrated care model across other health systems in Arkansas.
