On January 28, 2025, Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced a proposal seeking to implement a work and community engagement requirement for all able-bodied, working-age Medicaid beneficiaries receiving coverage through the Arkansas Health and Opportunity for Me (ARHOME) Medicaid 1115 waiver. The state implemented Arkansas Works in June 2018. Arkansas Works imposed a work and community engagement reporting requirement for the Medicaid expansion population. However, Arkansas Works was ended by a legal order. The new Arkansas Pathway-To-Prosperity, Request To Amend The ARHOME Medicaid 1115 Demonstration Project proposes work and community engagement requirements similar to those the state . . .
