Arkansas Submits Request For New Approach To Medicaid Expansion Work Requirements
The Arkansas Department of Human Services (DHS) submitted a proposed amendment called “Opportunities for Success” to its Medicaid expansion program, ARHOME, to implement a new and nontraditional form of work requirement for individuals who would benefit from focused care coordination services as identified by DHS. The proposal would use data matching and outreach, if necessary, by a Success Coach to identify whether beneficiaries on “on track” to success through work, volunteer, or enrollment in training or educational classes.
