Artificial Intelligence-Powered Breath Sensor Detects 17 Different Diseases
Researchers have developed a device with artificial intelligence that can analyze molecules in exhaled breath to diagnose 17 different conditions, such as cancer, Crohn’s disease, multiple sclerosis, preeclampsia, and chronic kidney disease. They tested the device with breath samples collected from 1,404 people. Some had been previously diagnosed with one of 17 disease conditions, the others were healthy controls who had no other evidence of any disease at the time their breath was sampled.
