California State Auditor To Review Medi-Cal Managed Care Plan Provider Network Adequacy

On August 5, 2014, the California State Auditor's Office announced plans to review Medi-Cal managed care plan provider network adequacy. The audit will assess whether the Medicaid managed care provider organization directories include an adequate number of physicians who are accepting new Medicaid patients. The audit will also assess state oversight of Medicaid managed care provider directories. The California State Assembly Joint Committee on Legislative Audit approved the audit on August 14, 2014.
