On June 27, 2022, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced the new Enhancing Oncology Model (EOM). Under EOM, participating oncology practices will take on financial and performance accountability for episodes of care surrounding systemic chemotherapy administration to Medicare beneficiaries with common types of cancer.

The EOM participants will include oncology practices that provide chemotherapy to treat breast cancer, chronic leukemia, lung cancer, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, prostate cancer, and small intestine/colorectal cancer.
