CMS Approves Indiana Medicaid Expansion Plan
On January 27, 2015, the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) approved Indiana’s Medicaid redesign and expansion demonstration called the Healthy Indiana Plan 2.0 (HIP 2.0). The expansion will cover an estimated 350,000 currently uninsured low-income, non-disabled adults between the ages of 19 and 64 who earn up to 133% of the federal poverty level (FPL).
