In Colorado, the Center for Mental Health, a community mental health center (CMHC), and Axis Health System (AHS), a federally qualified health center (FQHC) and CMHC, are planning to merge by June 2022. The merger was announced on September 1, 2021. Financial terms have not been disclosed. The new entity will operate as Axis Health System and is projected to serve about 19,000 consumers annually.
