Veterans Affairs Commission On Care Recommends More Private Options For Services
In its final report delivered to President Barack Obama on July 6, 2016, the Veterans Affairs' Commission on Care recommended redesigning veterans’ health care delivery to create a series of regional networks that offer more options for community-based care from private provider organizations. The report recommends that the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) remain the exclusive provider of services such as specialized behavioral health care, spinal cord injury care, prosthetics, and rehabilitative services.
