Consumer Survey Finds 38% Receive Employer-Sponsored Health Insurance In 2015, Down From 59% In 2013

About 38% of consumers were offered employer-sponsored health insurance in 2015, down from 59% in 2013. As a result, consumers are spending more time evaluating their insurance options, and are securing coverage from sources other than their employer. The most important selection factors were the cost of the health plan, and the health plan's coverage of major medical and routine preventive care.
